Let the Grape Harvest Begin
At the end of the summer, between August and October, the grape season and harvest starts. So during your Croatia holidays it might be common to see trucks carrying tons of grapes around Istria, from vineyards to producers.
In Croatian producers, such as Teraboto, is common to find trees of Žižula which is a common Mediterranean fruit. The reason for this is to observe and control any infestation that might affect the vineyards. This is because the bugs will affect the Žižula before affecting the vines. However, Žižula is also delicious and highly consumed.
