The Rimac Concept One.<\/strong> It\u2019s a two-seat high-performance electric car\u00a0designed and manufactured between January 2013\u2013November 2014 by Rimac Automobili.<\/p>\n<p>Mate Rimac, the founder of Rimac Automobili, played part recently in the electric Jaguar used by Harry and Meghan at the Royal Wedding.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/candybrick.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/6719.jpeg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/candybrick.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/6719-1024x576.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Apart from being the birthplace of the first electric super car<strong>, Croatia has yet to shown much interest in adopting new sustainable, and modern mobility technology.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&lt;!&#8211;nextpage&#8211;&gt;<br \/>\n<!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h2><b>In 2014, Croatia had only 5 registered electric cars, and 4 electric car charging stations<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>In the same year, the couple\u00a0Igor and Tina Kolovrat,\u00a0(Owner and Director of E.V.A Blue d.o.o), started the project of spreading E-mobility over the country.<\/p>\n<p>E.V.A Blue is responsible for organizing the\u00a0&#8220;Nikola Tesla EV Rally&#8221; and the &#8220;I Drive Electric&#8221; concept.<\/p>\n<p>The couple\u2019s initiative has\u00a0attracted interest from abroad, including Maye Musk, the 68 years old model and\u00a0mother of Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla.\u00a0<strong>Igor and Tina Kolovrat\u2019s vision started in Croatia,<\/strong> but it is promising to expand abroad.<\/p>\n<p>In a few decades, electric cars are going to be a reality, and the couple is making a move towards that already.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mceTemp\"><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2266 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/candybrick.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/IMG_4680-250x250.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"250\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As written by Paul Bradbury, on Total Croatian News:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The world&#8217;s quietest (and arguably most beautiful) rally began in Rovinj on June 3, 2018, as almost 50 Teslas started a luxury tour of the birth place of the great inventor, as the fifth edition of the Nikola Tesla EV Rally gets underway in Istria.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The course includes five separate legs between<b>\u00a0:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pula,<\/li>\n<li>Porec,<\/li>\n<li>Rovinj,<\/li>\n<li>Icici,<\/li>\n<li>Opatija,<\/li>\n<li>the Paklenica National Park,<\/li>\n<li>Zadar,<\/li>\n<li>the Krka National Park,<\/li>\n<li>Gospic,<\/li>\n<li>Smiljan (the birth place of Nikola Tesla),<\/li>\n<li>Plitvice Lakes and<\/li>\n<li>Zagreb.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The average length of each leg is 160 kilometres.<\/p>\n<p>The rally attracted a variety of other influential names, such as\u00a0Sasa Cvetojevic, first man to drive an electric car through the Sahara to Bamako.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&lt;!&#8211;nextpage&#8211;&gt;<br \/>\n<!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h2><b>It brought attention from\u00a0Croatia\u2019s Minister of Environment who also took part in the rally<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>The interest from\u00a0Croatia\u2019s Minister of Environment\u00a0increased the media coverage nationally and internationally.<\/p>\n<p>The couple and the rally also incentivized the Croatian Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund to invest on e-mobility.<\/p>\n<p>As posted by\u00a0Balkan Green Energy news,:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The country will get\u00a0133 electric and 1 plug-in cars, 224 electric bikes and 56 electric motorcycles in the next six months.<\/p>\n<p>The public invitation for individuals, closed just one day after it was opened due to strong interest.\u00a0It resulted in the approval of 1.62 million euros, including 1.4 million for electric cars, 126.000 for bicycles, and \u00a070.000 for motorcycles.<\/p>\n<p>Depending on the type of vehicles being bought, individuals can receive from 670 to \u20ac10,700 euros and the vehicles can be financed with loans or through leasing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Croatia has dedicated incentives of up to\u00a03.3 million euros for citizens and businesses interested in buying electric vehicles.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The incentives for EVs are rare in the regions of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Albania,<\/li>\n<li>Kosovo,<\/li>\n<li>Macedonia,<\/li>\n<li>Bosnia,<\/li>\n<li>Herzegovina,<\/li>\n<li>Montenegro,<\/li>\n<li>Serbia<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Do not offer them, unlike all neighbouring EU countries.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&lt;!&#8211;nextpage&#8211;&gt;<br \/>\n<!--nextpage--><\/p>\n<h2><b>From 4 charging stations, it has increased to 170\u00a0<\/b>in a matter of 4 years time<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3721 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/candybrick.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/download-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"289\" height=\"174\" \/><\/p>\n<p>That increase is a very positive growth.
