Croatia country has become a popular holiday destination in Europe.<\/strong> The climate, gastronomy and landscapes attract more and more visitors<\/a> each year and for that, developments are necessary to keep this figure increasing.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gari Cappelli,<\/strong> the minister of Tourism of the Republic of Croatia since October 2016, said:<\/strong> \u201c The achieved results of tourist traffic during the extended weekend mark the beggining of a good tourist year in Croatia. This year, we expect a billion euros of investment in tourism, through which, realisation, in addintion to the increase of traffic, will enable us to continue with the revenue growth that we generate from \u00a0tourism, which is extremely important for the further developments of destinations\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Split welcomes a large number of tourists<\/h2>\n

The regions that received the most arrivals in 2018 were Istria, Kvarner and Split.<\/strong> <\/span>Although Split is the largest city in the region of Dalmatia, th<\/span>e impressive amount of 16.6 million overnight stays generated over the period of 8 months,<\/strong> resulting in over 2 million overnight stays per month, is becoming too much for the region to take.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

In order to alleviate this overcrowds in the area of Split,<\/strong> the development this time is focused on the improvement of the transport sector, with the arrival of a mini-metro.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Mini-metro<\/h3>\n

By the summer of next year, the mini-metro is going to be up and running,<\/strong> transporting the tourists that arrive from the port to the city centre.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The whole area is going to adapt in order to receive this wave of visitors,<\/strong> such as, enough car parking close to the stops, buses having their final stop at the mini-metro line and change on the routes connecting the whole existing transport sysem.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Even more, the mini-metro is the first move towards other bigger transport developements.<\/strong> One of them consists in connecting Split airport to the ferry port, the estimative for this project is of 5 years, the other one is the construction of two stations in Split, with European funds.<\/p>\n

This news are excellent for future investors, as the more Croatia develops, the more investments it attracts<\/strong> creating a positive and prosperous cycle.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
